Christmas time is a time to be with family and we take that to another level.
Every year my in-laws have a Christmas/Birthday party for Nikki and friends. We get all dolled up and enjoy some tamales, rice and beans and of course lots of beer/margaritas. My father-in-law takes pride in his method of storage for the beer.....the washing machine!! (Hopefully I will remember to take a pic of this next year!) Yes, the washing machine seems to keep the beer colder and more easily accessible. (Anyway back to our night.)
We always look forward to the Christmas party because the mix of people is so much fun. The family now has 3 babies to celebrate with. Rhiannon/Andrew have their 9 month old twins, Austin and Tyler and we have our little Ili. Todd invites his childhood buddies that crack jokes about each other all night. That always has us laughing!!
This year we decided to add a spin to the party by celebrating Nikki's birthday with shots. We brought in Nikki's 34th birthday with some icy cold, Patron Anejo Tequila shots....delicious!!! Thanks Dad for pouring! ;)
For obvious reasons I have but these 2 pictures to share!! ;)

After the lively celebration with my in-laws we then make the trek to the other side of town for a Midnight Christmas with my family, the Esparzas. We celebrate Christmas at midnight because that is when Santa arrives and baby Jesus is born. All the kiddos go to bed, *wink wink* and Santa delivers all the presents. We also enjoy another family feast with turkey, ham and all the fixings. It is always a lot of fun and very filling. This year we had the pleasure of having my aunt (grandma's sister) and her husband come and celebrate with us.
Some kids take things very seriously!!
Madison actually fell asleep
waiting for Santa Claus in her Little Mermaid dress.

Iliana's 1st Christmas present.

Just let me at it!!!

After the gift exchange and celebration Philip and I then make the trek back to our home for some much needed rest. It is now 3 a.m. and Ili has had some cat naps here and there. It's like she didn't want to miss a second of the action. The next morning we woke up late and celebrated a quiet Christmas "morning" with ChaChi and now our little gift from God, Iliana.
What did we do to be so blessed?

Merry Christmas to all.
To my grandmas' house we go...
....again!!!!!
